*I'm thankful for my mom. We didn't always have the greatest relationship growing up, but she's there for me right now, even when she can't really be here. Whether its to call and vent, or to ask a silly question like "Gavin wants soup. How do you make potato soup?" she's there. She'll listen to my silence for an hour. Its almost as though she gets that I call her just so I am not the only grownup. So I am not always alone.
*I'm thankful for my memories. And that me and Kurt were both camera whores. Gavin and I spent a while today watching video and looking at pictures from his infancy. He saw Kurt's hands. Heard Kurt's voice. And so did I. I cherish those images. They are the only proof I have that the time I remember so longingly really was real......
*I'm thankful for my credit card. And that I have a decent credit rating, even if the card is way, way too high. Gavin broke his iPad today. It was a total accident, but I have not seen him that upset in a while. He really was heartbroken. And I - with the help of Mastercard - had the ability to make the hurt better. Of course I'm also thankful that its almost income tax time, as that's what I will use to bring the balance down to a reasonable level.....
